On 23 January 2008 a preliminary agreement was signed between Jerste B.V (Netherlands), a subsidiary of Kernel Holding S.A., and the Ukrainian company JSC IC "Zaliznichni slyakhi" for the acquisition of three Ukrainian companies, which together lease 7,618 hectares of land in the Poltava Region.
