Kernel is today the No. 1 oilseed crusher in Ukraine with total crushing capacity of 2.6 million tons of sunflower seed per year, enabling the company to process one-third of the sunflower seed grown in the country, produce 1.1 million tons of sunflower oil and 1 million tons of sunflower meal. Additionally, the company operates 400 000 tons per year of sunflower seeds crushing capacity in Russia. Kernel owns and operates seven crushing plants in Ukraine and three crushing plants in Russia located throughout the sunflower belt, an area extending thousands of kilometers from the South of Russia to the Black Sea, where we also process sunflower seed directly in the port of Illichevsk. By consolidating the crushing industry of Ukraine and establishing a network of efficient crushing plants in the midst of the most important oilseed producing regions of Ukraine, Kernel has become the commercial partner of choice for thousands of farmers in the marketing of their oil-bearing crops.
